A virtual gathering space for folk school founders, administrators, staff, and guests where CoP members may find camaraderie and support along with a significant pool of problem-solving experience and resources.

In a community of practice, members come together around learning needs for a shared concern or passion.  Collective learning in a community of practice creates a bond among members over time.

Folk School Alliance Community of Practice meetings are sponsored by the Folk Education Association of America and occur every month on the 4th Tuesday with the exception of July and December, when no meetings are held.

Meet the Community Weaver, Amanda Dean.

Amanda Dean is a multidisciplinary artist based in Macomb, Illinois. A clinical therapist and social worker by trade, Amanda believes in the power of art and creativity to heal individuals and strengthen communities.
